 T-CETRA Marketing Team Honored With International Award For Web Creativity And Digital Communications

−International dotCOMM Competition spotlights record-breaking “VIDAPAY ME! $100K Giveaway Campaign”− 

DUBLIN, OH (July 11, 2022)−The dotCOMM Awards recently announced T-CETRA’s “VIDAPAY ME! $100K Giveaway” campaign as a Platinum Award winner in the Team Achievement category in the 2022 international awards competition. Over 2,500 entries were submitted from small and large advertising agencies and in-house marketing teams from across the globe. The Platinum Award is the highest honor given in each of the 241 categories.  

In Q4 2021, T-CETRA launched the “VIDAPAY ME! $100K Giveaway,” a 12-week gameshow-themed B2B promotion on VIDAPAY, its proprietary POS solution used among thousands of TracFone retailers. T-CETRA’s team worked with TracFone exclusively to achieve the shared goals of increased revenue, retailer and master agent engagement, and brand awareness as well as to create new buyer behavior. The promotion gave away 524 total cash prizes over the course of 10 weeks to registered retailers, including a $20,000 Grand Prize. Entries to win were earned based on eligible TracFone transactions on the VIDAPAY portal as well as completion of a survey and handset purchases on VIDAPAY’s Marketplace.  

The “VIDAPAY ME! $100K Giveaway” promotion exceeded the sales goals delivering record-breaking results through a creative digital marketing campaign. The campaign drove the highest level of retailer engagement in the company’s 15-year history and contributed to: 

  • 9-12% overall increase in sales lift/forecast (Q4, YOY) across top-up, activation and handset sales; 
  • 78% participation rate (typical retail participation rate with carrier promotions is approximately 40-50%); 
  • 1.9 million contest entries (with an average of 368 entries per dealer). 

“This was truly a team achievement as our marketing team worked internally with IT, field sales, data/IT product, logistics, customer service teams and with TracFone directly,” said Kristine Gross, Vice President of Growth and Marketing. “We created over 150 gamified assets with a small, but mighty, in-house team. The dotCOMM Awards were administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (www.amcpros.com). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals.  AMCP judges were industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
